What’s new and different in your ArbitralWomen member profile and the website

We have revamped ArbitralWomen website and changed some aspects of the member profile. Please take this opportunity to update your profile: add a photo or an article, update your CV and especially update your languages using the new criteria.

From now on, once you log in, you will no longer have to go to a separate tab to view or edit your account. Once you are logged in, the “Log In” button will switch to “My Account”.

From the menu on the left of the page, you can edit the information in your profile,  check your orders and the articles you have posted and edit them.

If you need to edit essential Account information such as your Name or Password, you can do so by clicking on the ‘Profile Name & Password’ menu option.

Profile Information

The About tab
We have done away with the little boxes to tick and upgraded to drop-down menus to make it quicker and easier to fill in your profile. You can scroll or type the first letter: i.e., under Legal Expertise, typing “E” will highlight European Law, under Practice Areas, “M” will take you quickly to Maritime Law and Mediation. Follow the instructions to choose more than one option in the drop-down boxes on this page.

The biggest change is language, where we now have both Speaking and Professional Proficiency choices. The speaking choices have changed from Basic, Reasonable and Proficient to Conversational, Proficient and Native Fluency to better reflect our members’ language abilities. The new category, Professional Proficiency enables you to provide information on your ability to use your languages in a professional dispute resolution capacity. You can change the order in which your languages appear by just moving the language blocks up or down.

Don’t forget to click “Update” before moving on to another tab or menu option.

The Address tabs
There are two address tabs: Professional Address and Private Address. Please provide a private e-mail so we can contact you in case you change email addresses or firms. ArbitralWomen will not display this information on the website.

The Articles tabs
There are three article tabs. The first allows you to view the articles you have already uploaded. The second is to submit an article. Please provide the title – the excerpt is optional. You should use the Visual button on the right, not Text, unless you know how to code.

After adding the Author, you can upload a pdf or provide a link to the url.

To add the journal in which the article was published, use the drop-down menu on the right or add the name of the journal with the “+” sign.

Don’t forget to click “Submit Article” at the bottom of the page.

Your articles will appear on the bottom of your profile page and in the Articles tab under Publications on the Website.
You can also list the names of your articles under Profile Information/ Publications or just write in “See Below”.

We hope you enjoy the new Website. For any problems updating your profile, please contact us at [email protected].
