Mélida Hodgson has moved to Arnold & Porter as a partner in its New York office, effective 18 January 2022. Mélida was previously a partner at Jenner & Block and Foley Hoag and spent several years at the Office of the US Trade Representative. Mélida focuses her practice on investor state and commercial arbitrations, primarily involving governments, state-owned entities, and corporate entities. She is particularly specialized in the infrastructure, mining, transportation, and energy sectors. Mélida also advises on international trade policy issues and regularly sits as an arbitrator. She is the Vice-Chair of the ICC Institute of World Business law and holds many other leadership roles and recognitions.
