Marie Talašová has joined Wolf Theiss as Counsel in its Prague office, effective January 2024. Her practice focuses on international arbitrations and investment law, including regulatory aspects of export control, energy, dual-use goods and FDI, as well as Ukraine-related advisory. Marie has significant experience assisting negotiations with strategic investors and advising on issues concerning international law and EU law, especially in the area of state aid and regulation of the energy. Marie brings a wealth of experience from her role as the Head of the International Legal Services Department at the Czech Ministry of Finance, where she defended the Czech Republic in numerous investment arbitrations, served as the lead negotiator for bilateral investment agreements and advised on international and EU law matters. Marie is a founding member of the Arbitration Association of Central and Eastern Europe (ArbCEE). She previously worked at White & Case and King & Spalding.
