Kirstin Dodge, Alexandra Johnson and Melissa Magliana are Appointed to the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution’s Court of Arbitration

Kirstin Dodge has been appointed to the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution’s Court of Arbitration with effect from 1 January 2020. Kirstin is Special Counsel for International Arbitration and Litigation at Homburger. Based in Zurich, she specialises in international commercial and investment arbitration, with particular focus on the energy, telecommunications and pharmaceutical industries. She speaks English and German and is admitted to the Bar of Washington State, USA, where she was a Partner in a leading Pacific Northwest law firm before relocating to Switzerland.

Alexandra Johnson, a member of the Board of ArbitralWomen, has been appointed as Secretary to the President of the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution’s (SCAI) Court of Arbitration with effect from 1 January 2020. Based in Geneva, Alexandra is a partner at Bär & Karrer specialising in international arbitration. In addition to her counsel work she sits as arbitrator. Alexandra is a member of SCAI’s Court of Arbitration and serves as co-chair of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA) Geneva Local Group and a member of the ASA’s marketing committee. She is admitted to all Swiss courts and speaks French and English. Alexandra is recognised as a Future Leader of Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration.

Melissa Magliana, a former member of the Steering Committee of YAWP, has been appointed to the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution’s Court of Arbitration with effect from 1 January 2020. Based in Zurich, Melissa is a partner at LALIVE and specialises in international commercial arbitration, with particular focus on the construction, pharmaceuticals, transportation and logistics industries. She sits as an arbitrator and is a member of the board of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA). Melissa is admitted to the New York Bar and speaks English, French, German, and Italian. She is recognised for her work in commercial arbitration by the global and Swiss editions of Who’s Who Legal as well as by Legal Media Group.
