Karina Albers has been elected to the Committee of the London Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) with effect from 23 April 2020. Karina practices as international arbitrator and mediator in London, Hamburg and Singapore. She acts as NGO representative at the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and is an accredited expert. Karina has extensive international experience in commodity & derivative markets for shipping, fertiliser and in the energy sector. She is a Fellow of the CIArb and an aspiring full member of the LMAA. She is a panel member of the SCMA Singapore, committee member of Maritime UK Women in Shipping, a member of the Baltic Exchange and a Role Model in the ‘Maritime and Me’ campaign.
