Cristina M. Wagner Mastrobuono FCiarb has been elected Chair of the Ciarb Brazil Branch, for the 2024-2026 biennium, effective April 23, 2024. Cristina served the Legal Department of the State of São Paulo for 27 years, occupying various high-profile positions across practice areas, including the Office’s Vice Chair. There she had the opportunity to develop her knowledge in public business law involving all forms of interaction between the public and private sectors, such as the structuring of concession projects, privatization and deregulation processes and in corporate law aspects of state enterprises and state-owned companies. In 2020 she opened her private practice to act in arbitration exclusively as an independent arbitrator. Since then, she has been appointed as co-arbitrator and president in disputes related to contracts involving construction, energy sector, road concessions, subways, real estate operations and corporate issues arising in state owned companies.
