Catherine Amirfar has been named Co-Chair of the international disputes group at Debevoise & Plimpton based in New York, effective 20 May 2021. She will also continue to remain Co-Chair of the firm’s public international law group. Catherine joined Debevoise & Plimpton in 2002 and became partner in 2008. She left to serve as a lead disputes lawyer for the US State Department for 2 years before returning to the firm in 2016. Catherine also serves as the President of the American Society of International Law. She has been recognized as a leading practitioner by Chambers, Benchmark Litigation, Who’s Who Legal and Legal 500.
