Katalin Meier is a Dispute Resolution Attorney (Switzerland; US/Californian admission pending). She advises and represents clients before arbitral tribunals and state courts and acts as arbitrator and mediator. Katalin has been involved in complex arbitration proceedings related to post-M&A, distribution, sales, government contracts, aviation, entertainment and construction matters under the ICC Rules, Swiss Rules, Vienna Rules, DIS Rules, JAMS Rules as well as in ad-hoc and emergency arbitrator proceedings. In addition, she has represented clients in civil and criminal proceedings before state courts for nine years. Katalin completed her legal studies in Basel, Budapest and Geneva and has been awarded a Certificate in Transnational Law from the University of Geneva with focus on pharmaceutical and biotechnology law and an LL.M. degree from University of California, Los Angeles. She has further completed an Alternative Dispute Resolution Program at the Institute for U.S. Law, Washington D.C. and gained work experience at a United States Federal District Court and at an arbitration institution in California. She is member of the Board of Directors of the California International Arbitration Council (CIAC). Katalin regularly publishes and speaks on international arbitration and mediation matters.
