Hogan Lovells and ArbitralWomen, with support from the German Institute of Arbitration (DIS), invite you to attend a panel discussion on “Gender Differences in Dispute Resolution: Science, Experience and Practical Approaches”.
The aim of the event is to approach the question of gender differences in dispute resolution from different angles (science and practice).
In the first part, the academic researchers Ms. Schultz of Fern University Hagen, Germany and Dr. Kugler of Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Germany will present their research on gender differences in decision making and in negotiations.
During the following panel discussion, dispute resolution practitioners in different roles (judge/arbitrator, counsel, in-house counsel) will reflect on the academic research and share their experience and views on gender differences in dispute resolution. The panel will also discuss the practical implications of the academic research / their experience for questions like arbitrator selection and cross-examinations.
Finally, a SpeedNet preceding the main event (open exclusively to female practitioners) and a drinks reception concluding the event provide networking opportunities.
