GAR Live returns to London for it’s sixth edition to be chaired by Sylvia Noury,Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Jason Fry, Clifford Chance.
As well as our regular GAR Live symposium and GAR Live debate, we will also be holding sessions titled Demystifying arbitrator selection and a session onGetting the client paid. The event encourages audience participation and reporters from Global Arbitration Review will be there to capture the best parts.
The Equal Representation in Arbitration (ERA) Pledge will also be officially launched at the cocktail reception taking place following the main conference. The Pledge has two general objectives: to improve the profile and representation of women in arbitration and to appoint women as arbitrators on an equal opportunity basis. The text of the Pledge is the result of a collaborative effort between global representatives of corporate entities, states, arbitral institutions, arbitration practitioners, both counsel and arbitrators, and academics, drawn together by a Steering Committee. The Pledge establishes concrete and actionable steps that the arbitration community can and must take, wherever possible, towards achieving these general objectives and the ultimate goal of full parity.
Following the official launch of the Pledge at the cocktail reception, delegates will be invited to sign the Pledge.
