What is ArbitralWomen?

  • An international non-governmental organisation with the primary objective of advancing the interests of women and promoting female practitioners in international dispute resolution.
  • A network of women from diverse  backgrounds and legal cultures active in  international dispute resolution in any role, including inter alia, arbitrator, mediator,  expert, adjudicator, surveyor,  facilitator, lawyer, neutral, ombudswoman, forensic consultant. The group has grown to nearly a thousand members from over 40 countries.
  • An effective tool to advance the interests of women in dispute resolution, enhance their involvement and improve their visibility.
  • A source of practitioners from jurisdictions around the world, and a source of referrals for both women and men.
  • An opportunity to meet other women in the field, exchange ideas, mentor new  practitioners and celebrate the future of women in international dispute resolution. 
  • A source of information on recent developments concerning women in international dispute resolution.
  • An organisation enjoying an observer status at UNCITRAL Working Group Sessions.

ArbitralWomen has existed informally since 1993, actively since 2000 and
officially as a non-profit organisation since 2005. 

How can I join ArbitralWomen?

To become a member, you can be proposed by a current member or you may apply on your own. Submit your application directly on the homepage under "Apply Now" together with your CV and a photo.

  • Payments are made online.
  • Annual membership fee: 150 Euros.
  • Corporate membership fee: 650 Euros for five members.
  • A rate of 135 Euros is offered for each individual member from the firm thereafter.
